The ultimate lens bracket to secure and motorize your Samyang 135mm f/2. Maximum rigidity for mobile or fixed imaging setups.
Carbon-Fiber PETG Design for Wide-Field Astrophotography
Because an increasing number of astrophotographers rely on the legendary Samyang 135mm f/2 lens to capture deep-sky structures, Azur3Dprint engineered this premium Pro version mount. It delivers excellent rigidity and lightweight handling, making it a perfect fit for modern fixed or mobile setups (cooled cameras, filter wheels, etc.).
Newer EAF N and EAF Pro units feature a 4mm motor shaft, whereas legacy standard units use a 5mm shaft.
Please verify your hardware specifications and leave an explicit note during checkout stating whether you require a 4mm or 5mm flexible coupler sleeve.
💎 Carbon-Fiber PETG & Alu ReinforcementPrinted in carbon-fiber reinforced PETG, this bracket provides a great balance of lightweight build and rigidity. An external aluminum plate is integrated on the side to protect the structure during clamping. |
🔧 Base Configuration & Kodak ThreadThe standard configuration comes with a classic Vixen dovetail. It features a built-in metal Kodak thread insert (1/4") to mount directly onto small tracker mounts (SkyTracker, etc.). An XL version is available as an option. |
Star Adventurer & Small Travel Mount Users: These mounts often use a large stock metal thumb screw to lock down the dovetail. You must imperatively orient the mount so that this locking screw presses directly against the aluminum-reinforced side. This prevents any crushing or damage to the polymer structure.
Thermal Management: Carbon PETG offers very good outdoor thermal stability, but it remains a thermoplastic material. Never leave your fully assembled rig trapped under non-reflective covers in direct summer sunlight. Greenhouse heat soak can cause local physical deformation where it contacts the hot metal parts of the lens.
💡 The Astronomer's Advice: "The Samyang 135mm at f/2 is fantastic for wide-field imaging, but focus stability is key. This mount was designed to keep your setup steady while remaining light for mobile imaging. The built-in Kodak insert under the plate is a major benefit for those traveling light with a small star tracker setup."
