This barrel + instrument plate assembly has been specifically designed for 75 mm Baader ERF filters, offering a safe, practical and scalable solution for solar observation. The goal is simple: secure and protect your filter while ensuring a clean and reliable front-mounted installation on your telescope.

🔁 A clear design: dedicated barrel + tube-specific plate

Many filter holders on the market rely on so-called “universal” plates with multiple mounting holes, often at the expense of simplicity and proper fit. Here, we chose a cleaner and more reliable approach:

• A dedicated barrel designed to securely hold the ERF filter
• An independent instrument plate matched to your tube diameter
• An interchangeable plate if you use the filter on multiple instruments

This design improves ease of use and peace of mind, while avoiding makeshift or approximate mounting solutions.

🧱 Reliable construction in premium PETG

The assembly has been designed to offer an excellent balance between rigidity, lightness and durability, well suited to the constraints of solar observing:

• Barrel designed for secure mounting of the 75 mm Baader ERF filter
• Instrument plate printed in premium PETG, both rigid and lightweight
• Stainless steel hardware, with knurled screws featuring nylon tips and felt pads to protect your tube

The result is a robust, easy-to-handle support designed for regular solar use.

🛡️ Dual protective caps – New for 2026

To protect your filter outside observing sessions, the holder is supplied with a complete protection system:

• A front protective cap covering the external face of the barrel to limit dust and impacts
• An internal protective cap (New for 2025), providing additional protection for the filter surface during storage or transport

Your filter remains protected before, during and after each observing session.

🌞 A scalable solution for multiple instruments

If you own multiple telescopes or refractors, this holder avoids the need to purchase multiple complete systems. Thanks to its dedicated filter barrel and interchangeable instrument plates, you can:

• Use the same 75 mm Baader ERF filter on different instruments
• Simply change the instrument plate to match each tube
• Minimize direct handling of the filter

You simply select the instrument plate corresponding to your telescope via the dropdown menu. If your tube diameter is not listed, custom sizes can be made on request.
